A Closer Look at Each Ingredient

 Avocado Oil

Avocado oil is one of nature's most powerful moisturizers. Packed with vitamins A, D, and E, it penetrates deeply to heal and hydrate — making it especially effective for dry skin and eczema. Used in African skin care traditions for centuries, it's known for its regenerating and soothing qualities.

 Beeswax

Our beeswax is the natural secretion of honey bees that feed on organic botanicals. It carries the beautiful, sweet aroma of honey and a warm golden color. In soap, it creates a firmer bar and is also a key ingredient in our creams, lotions, and lip balms.

Castor Oil

Castor oil is a natural humectant — it draws moisture from the air and holds it against your skin. When combined with other vegetable oils, it helps produce a firm, long-lasting bar of soap with a rich, creamy lather.

Cocoa Butter

Sourced from the cacao bean, our cocoa butter carries a rich, dark chocolate aroma. It's loaded with natural antioxidants that give it a shelf life of over three years. Used for centuries in Africa, cocoa butter is a deeply soothing emollient that protects and heals skin exposed to harsh elements.

Coconut Oil

Our organic coconut oil is cold-pressed from dried coconuts (copra) for maximum purity. It's one of the most versatile soap-making oils — resistant to rancidity, it creates a hard bar with a fluffy, luxurious lather. It absorbs easily, won't clog pores, and is ideal for dry, itchy, or sensitive skin.

 Grape Seed Oil

Lightweight and fast-absorbing, grape seed oil leaves no greasy residue. It's rich in vitamins, minerals, linoleic acid, and essential fatty acids — making it a great everyday skin conditioner for all skin types.

 Hazelnut Oil

Hazelnut oil is a light, slightly astringent oil that's ideal for acne-prone skin. It penetrates quickly, soothes irritation, and is high in essential fatty acids that help heal dry or inflamed skin.

 Honey

Like glycerin, honey is a natural humectant that helps your skin retain moisture throughout the day. It adds a gentle, soothing quality to our soaps and leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated.

 Jojoba Oil

Technically a liquid wax, jojoba closely mimics the skin's natural sebum — making it uniquely effective at balancing oil production. It's highly penetrating, anti-inflammatory (thanks to myristic acid), and works beautifully in facial formulations for acne, arthritis, and sensitive skin.

 Kukui Nut Oil

Native to Hawaii, kukui nut oil is prized for its fast absorption and high linoleic acid content. It's especially effective after sun exposure and for soothing acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Vitamins A, C, and E are added to stabilize the oil and enhance its skin-healing benefits.

 Mango Butter

Extracted from the kernels of the mango tree, mango butter is a rich, nearly scentless moisturizer with a high stearic acid content similar to cocoa butter. It offers natural sun protection, helps prevent wrinkles, restores skin elasticity, and slows cellular degeneration.

🫒 Olive Oil

A cornerstone of natural soap-making, olive oil is gentle enough for the most sensitive skin. It prevents moisture loss, softens skin, and attracts external moisture — all while allowing your skin to breathe, shed dead cells, and release sebum naturally. The foundation of our classic Castile soaps.

🫒 Greek Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil ✨ SPECIAL INGREDIENT

This is no ordinary olive oil. Our Greek Extra Virgin Organic Olive Oil is sourced directly from a small, family-run farm in Greece — where olives have been cultivated for generations using traditional, sustainable methods. The olives are hand-picked at peak ripeness to preserve their full nutritional profile, then cold-pressed within hours of harvest to lock in maximum potency.

The result is an exceptionally pure oil with a deep golden-green color and a rich, grassy aroma — a world apart from mass-produced olive oils. It is extraordinarily high in polyphenols (powerful antioxidants), oleic acid (omega-9), and squalene — a natural compound that mirrors the skin's own lipids for effortless absorption.

What it does for your skin:

  • Deeply moisturizes without clogging pores
  • Fights free radical damage with potent antioxidants
  • Soothes inflammation and calms reactive skin
  • Supports the skin's natural barrier and elasticity
  • Leaves skin visibly softer, smoother, and more radiant

When we use this oil in our soaps, we're bringing centuries of Greek agricultural tradition and the purest expression of the Mediterranean harvest directly to your skin. It's a rare ingredient — and one we're proud to call our own.

 Sustainable Palm Oil

We use only sustainably sourced palm oil, which produces a hard, long-lasting bar that cleanses effectively without stripping the skin. Its quality far surpasses filler oils and is a staple in many luxury soap formulations worldwide.

 Sustainable Palm Kernel Oil

Similar to coconut oil in its high lauric acid content, palm kernel oil creates a firm bar with excellent lather. It lends a smooth, silky texture to soaps and balms and adds firmness to stick formulations.

Safflower Oil

With one of the highest concentrations of linoleic acid among plant oils, safflower oil is a powerful moisturizer that helps nourish and restructure the skin. Best used in combination with firmer oils like palm or coconut for a balanced bar.

 Sesame Seed Oil

Sesame oil has long been used to soothe psoriasis, eczema, rheumatism, and arthritis. It's an excellent superfatting oil with strong moisturizing properties and a distinctive nutty scent. It works best blended with more saturated oils for a firmer bar.

 African Unrefined Shea Butter

Shea butter is one of our most treasured ingredients. African healers have used it for thousands of years to treat dry and aging skin. Its high content of non-saponifiable fats means a significant portion remains active in the soap to directly nourish your skin. It moisturizes deeply, restores elasticity, and helps protect against sun damage and cellular degeneration.

 Sweet Almond Oil

Cold-pressed from 100% pure almond nuts, our sweet almond oil is a rich emollient packed with vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, and E. It creates a stable lather, conditions the skin beautifully, and is especially well-suited for eczema, psoriasis, and dry or inflamed skin.

 Tallow

Rendered beef fat has made a comeback as a natural moisturizer — and for good reason. Rich in stearic and oleic fatty acids plus vitamins A, D, and E, tallow nourishes and supports the skin's natural barrier. It's particularly effective for very dry skin, eczema, and inflammation. We recommend a patch test for those with sensitive or acne-prone skin.

 Lard

Made from rendered pig fat, lard produces a beautifully white, lathery bar of soap. When combined with vegetable oils like coconut or palm, it creates a gentle, creamy bar that's kind to the skin.
